Owing to the Covid-19 situation, we are currently not operating, and it does not appear that we will be carrying out any car tours until April 2021 at the earliest.
We are hoping that we will be able to safely operate by Spring 2021 and are currently working on a new Brother Cadfael Tour “The Beginning and the End”. This follows our favourite Benedictine from his conversion ‘On the Road to Woodstock’ to the last Chronicle ‘Brother Cadfael’s Penance’.
A warm welcome to Shropshire and Around.

Gatehouse at Stokesay Castle.
The Tours are normally from 9am to 5pm, but shorter, 10am to 3.15pm, tours are also possible in most instances. We also offer multi-day tours around Wales and the Peak District.
Each tour will have an experienced, qualified guide and a specialist driver to look after you, so you have no worries over navigating, traffic, finding places or parking – we do it all. You just relax while taking in the beautiful sights and hearing local stories.
Come to Shropshire and enjoy its many wonderful attractions. From Scenic beauty, Historic buildings (and ruins!), museums, manicured Gardens, living Victoriana, to aircraft and steam trains. There are two World Heritage sites (Ironbridge Gorge and Vale of Clwyd) within 35 minutes drive of Shrewsbury.
It is also known for it’s great variety of ‘one-off’ shops – far away from the hustle and bustle of cities. It makes a truly memorable place to take U.K. holiday vacations.
Out of 90 counties in England, Shropshire is the 6th least populated, which helps explain the relaxing feel.
It has a truly remarkable variety of places to visit, or just view, ranging from the first Iron Bridge in the World, the original ancestor of all skyscrapers, to a Cold War headquarters to an area with the greatest number of the known geological ages. It has a wealth of timber-framed houses, including the first ‘Black & White’ house, many of which are in the six main market towns.
Wales has spectacular countryside interspersed with fascinating towns and thriving villages. The Celtic traditions are all around with the magnificent Castles, Churches and Cathedrals. ‘Float in the sky’ on Thomas’ Telford’s magnificent Pontcysyllte aqueduct.
All these are within comfortable range and we ‘mix & match’ to produce your ideal tour.
At Shropshire Tours we use all our experience to make your visit one to treasure.
