Although the legal Covid-19 restrictions will be removed on 19th July, we have decided that in the current situation of rising infections and in interests of personal safety for our staff and customers, WE WILL NOT BE OPERATING TOURS UNTIL MARCH 2022.
We will still be taking bookings for tours in 2022, so please contact us to reserve your required dates before we get too busy.

Gatehouse at Stokesay Castle.
The Dingle in Shrewsbury’s Quarry.
Come to Shropshire and enjoy its many wonderful attractions. From Scenic beauty, Historic buildings (and ruins!), museums, manicured Gardens, living Victoriana, to aircraft and steam trains. There are two World Heritage sites (Ironbridge Gorge and Vale of Clwyd) within 35 minutes drive of Shrewsbury.
It is also known for it’s great variety of ‘one-off’ shops – far away from the hustle and bustle of cities. It makes a truly memorable place to take U.K. holiday vacations.
Enjoy the space! Out of 90 counties in England, Shropshire is the 6th least populated, which helps explain the relaxing feel.
It has a truly remarkable variety of places to visit, or just view, ranging from the first iron bridge in the World, the original ancestor of all skyscrapers, to a Cold War headquarters, to an area with the greatest number of the known geological ages. It has a wealth of timber-framed houses, including the first ‘Black & White’ house, many of which are in the six main market towns, all set in quiet, attractive countryside.
The Welsh border has spectacular countryside interspersed with fascinating towns and thriving villages. The Celtic traditions are all around with the magnificent Castles, Churches and Cathedrals. ‘Float in the sky’ on Thomas’ Telford’s magnificent Pontcysyllte aqueduct.
Llangollen River Dee
All these are within comfortable range and we ‘mix & match’ to produce your ideal tour.
OUT OF SHROPSHIRE/OVERNIGHT TOURS
Shropshire is an ideal base for tours which require overnight stops. These, such as North Wales Mountains, Coast & Castles, require one night stays and the Scottish Highlands, York, & the Peak District between 4 and 7 night stays. These are only examples of past tours, if you want anywhere else such as the Cotswolds, Yorkshire and Hadrian’s Wall, or Dorset & Cornwall, please just contact us using the contact form.
If you are interested in a tour for yourselves or family please just ask.
At Shropshire Tours we use all our experience to make your visit one to treasure.
